You are hereby informed that your above referred tender read with subsequent letters mentioned above for the stores specified in the Schedules annexed has been accepted. This Rate Contract will be governed by the terms and conditions brought in the Form No.DGS&D-1001 available from DGS&D sales counters on payment of Rs.50/-. The Rate Contract and the Schedules annexed hereto shall be the sole repository of this Rate Contract/Transaction.

POLE MOUNTABLE LIGHT FITTINGS
Compact Street Light Fittings suitable for
compact fluorescent lamps (built in starter type), 240 Volts, Single Phase, 50
Hz. Side entry type with transparent acrylic covers made out of 2mm thick sheet
complete with copper wound ballast, capacitor and lamp holder duly wired
without CFL lamps, Gear-cum reflector tray and canopy made of aluminium sheet
of 1.00 mm nominal thickness and suitable to withstand wind load test. The fittings shall conform to IS:10322
(Part-5/Section-3)/87 Class I, IP-53 and suitable for mounting heights of upto 8 meters and the luminious efficiency not less
than 65% .

Ballast

IS:1534(Part-1/77) with amdt. No.1, 2&3 but with
lower watt losses as indicated below :

b) The temperature rise of ballasts
shall be 50 degree C above the ambient under normal conditions.
c)
The pre-heating current
shall be minimum 153mA at 90% of the rated voltage and maximum 240mA at 110% of
the rated voltage and the same will be checked by short circuit method or
equivalent resistance method (160 Ohms).
Tech. date of ballasts, reference ballasts, reference lamp are as per
Annexure-I.
I)
The fittings should be fabricated out of 0.8/1.00mm (Nominal thickness
(as indicated in respective schedules)
CRCA aluminium sheet sturdily built without sagging. The tolerance for the thickness of sheet
shall be as per IS:513 / 1994 with Amdt. No.1 .
II)
The fittings shall be properly derusted and
phosphatised in seven tank process and finished with light dove grey paint on
the outside and inside of the channel.
The reflector should be finished in special white non-yellowing high
gloss stove enamelled paint.
III)
The fittings for Schedule I,II and III
shall conform to IS:10322 (Pt.1 to 4) and IS: 10322 (Pt.5/Sec.2) /1985
with degree of protection IP-20 and they shall be suitable for use on 240V A.C.
50 Hz. Supply.
IV)
The lamp holders will conform to IS:3323/80 with Amdt.No.1 as far as
possible/applicable.
V)
The capacitors shall conform to IS:1569/76 with Amdt.
No.1
VI)
The translucent acrylic diffuser should be made out of acrylic sheet of
thickness of 2mm and should have transmission factor of 67% . The acrylic sheet should be guaranteed for
non-yellowing for 3 years. The tolerance
in thickness shall be as per IS:7569/1987.

VII)
The photometric efficiency shall not be less than 75% in respect of the
fittings in Schedule-II in terms of clause C-2(b) Appendix-C of
IS:10322(Pt.5/Sec.2)/85 i.e., light cut out ratio.
VIII)
Against Schedule-III of the tender enquiry photometric requirements will
be as per IS:10322 (Pt.5/Sec.3)/87 clause 12.3.1(e) and the light output ratio
shall not be less than 65% .
1. The PVC Cables shall conform to IS
:694 / 90.
2. All Wire leads to be adequately covered with
sleeves for protection against
accidental contacts.
3. All hardware parts used shall be
zinc coated or nickel/chromium plated so as to be corrosion resistant.
4. The accessories used shall be of
approved make.
5. The tendering firms shall furnish
catalogues, detailed diamentional drawing for the
items quoted by them alongwith their quotations.
6. The fitting should be wired as per clause No.19.2 of IS :
10322 (Pt.2/1982).
7. The ballasts shall be polyester
filled or vaccum impregnated type only.
8. The capacitor rating should be
sufficient to improve power factor to 8.85 lag (minimum) of the complete
fitting. The same shall be provided in
parallel circuit.
9. The street light fittings shall be
required with socket bore of 30mm or 40mm or 50mm side entry. The socket bore,
however, will be specified by the indentor at the time of placement of supply
order.

7. Excise Duty : Extra as applicable at the time of supply. However, at present the
Excise Duty is NIL.
8. Sales Tax : Extra as applicable at the time of supply. The present rate of CST is
@4% against Form C/D otherwise @ 10%. LST is @8%.
9. Delivery Period : Supply will be made within 3 months from the date of
receipt of technically and commercially clear supply order.
10. Annual Turnover : For 2001-02 Rs.3947191/- with profit.
11. Slab Discount (if any) : Nil.
12. Prices
: Prices are F.O.R. Delhi/New
inclusive of packing, forwarding and transit insurance charges up to destination.
