Dear Sirs,

                        You are hereby informed that your above referred tender read with subsequent letter mentioned above for the stores specified in the schedules annexed has been accepted.  This rate contract will be governed by the terms and conditions brought in the Form No.DGS&D-1001 which is available from DGS&D sales counters  on payment of Rs.50/-.  The Rate Contract and the Schedules annexed hereto shall be the sole repository of this rate contract/transaction.

 Item-I

            Independent Electronic Ballast for use on 240 V, 50 Hz. Single phase AC supply suitable for 40 Watt Fluorescent Tubular Lamps conforming to IS : 2418 (Pt.1 to 4)/part-2 (Reaffirmed-92 ) with amendment 1,2, and 3, part-2 (Reaff..93) with amdts. 1 & 2, part-3 (Reaff.90) with amdts.1 and part-4 (Reaff.90).  The electronic Ballast shall confirm to IS:13021 Pt.1.91 (Reaff. April 94) amendment no.1 and IS:13021 (Pt.1)/91 (Reaff. April 94)/ with amdt. No. 1& 2.  The ballast shall also comply with the additional requirements mentioned below ::-

a          The total power consumed by the electronic ballast complete with standard fluorescent lamps of ratings 36 shall  not exceed  the following limit when measured by true RMS power meter and the power factor should be 0.90 minimum rate per unit.

b   The lumen output of standard fluorescent tubular lamps of 36 Watt and 40 watt rating when operated with the electronic ballast at rated input voltage should not be less than 90% of the value obtained when operated with electromagnetic ballasts.

C   Elector Magnetic Interference caused by the Electronic Ballast should not exceed the limits prescribed in EN: 55015/IS:6842-1977 for Radiated Interferences.

d                      Power Line Conducted Emission Test on the Electronic Ballast shall meet the requirements as per EN:55015/IS:6842-1997.

e                      The open circuit voltage should be cut-off within 30 seconds to ensure safety.

f                       Endurance test with ‘tc’ shall be 55C.

g                      The Ballast shall meet the limit for Current Distortion as per Table 1 of IS: 13021: Part 2: 1991 with Amendments 1 and 2.

e)                     As at para 1 (e) above.

f)                      Endurance test with Temp. of 55 degree C.

g)                     All other test as per IS:13021 Pt.1/91 (Reaff. 1994)

                        with amendment no. 1 and IS:13021 pt.1/91 (reaff. 94) with amdts. No. 1&2.

  Acceptance Tests:

The sample plan for the acceptance test shall be conducted on the sample token out as per the above sampling plan

 

(a)         Markings as per IS:13021:Part 1: 1991 with Amendments No1, (Reaff. April-94)

(b)         Moisture Resistance and Insulation Resistance Test as per IS:13021: Part 1: 1991 with Amendment No.1. (Reaff. April-94)

 

(c)         Protection against Electric Shocks as per IS: 13021 : Part1: 1991 with Amendment No.1.  (Reaff. April-94)

 

(d)         Electric Strength as per IS:13021: Part1:1991 with Amendment No.1. (Reaff. April-94)

 

(e)         Circuit starting conditions as per IS: 13021:Part 2: 1991 with Amendment No.1 and 2. (Reaff. April-94)

 

            (f)            Operating conditions as per IS: 13021:Part 2: 1991 with  

                                    Amendment Nos .1 and 2. (Reaff. April-94)

           

            (g)            Circuit Power Factor as per IS: 13021: Part 2:1991 with  

                                    Amendment No 1 and 2.  (Reaff. April-94)

 

(h)     Supply Current as per IS: 13021 :Part 2: 1991 with Amendment   No.1    and   2. (Reaff. April-94)

           

        (i) Operational Tests for abnormal conditions as per IS:13021:Part 2:1991 with   Amendment Nos. 1 and 2.  (Reaff. April-94)

 

(j)                  Test for verification of current and total (including lamp) power consumed in comparison to the type tested Ballast.  The results shall not vary by more than 2%.

     6.   TERMS OF DELIVERY::            F.O.R. Delhi/ New Delhi.  Free delivery to

                                                            consignee in the Municipal limit  where pre-

                                                            inspected stores are maintained. 

 

  1. EXCISE DUTY:              Excise Duty will charged extra as applicable at the

Time of despatch. The present rate of Excise                        Duty is  as  below::-

On clearance from one to any amount @ 16%.

 

  1. SALES TAX: ::             Sales tax will be charged extra as applicable at the

   Time of despatch.  The current rate is

(a)    Delhi Sales Tax …….8%.

(b)   CST @ 4%  payable on all interstate transactions

Against  form C/D  Otherwise 10%.

 

9            Delivery Period:: Within 10 to 12 Weeks from the date of receipt of  

                                                  commercially complete order.

 

10.      MONETARY LIMIT      ::       RS. 50 Lakhs.

 

      11.  SLAB DISCOUNT(IF ANY)                       Nil

 

    12.   PRICES::                            PRICES ARE FIRM AND FINAL INCLUSIVE

      OF  PACKING,FORWARDING AND TRANSIT

INSTRUCTION TO THE FIRM::

 

   ii) That before entertaining any supply order placed by a DDO against the   subject R/C. DDO has to furnish the following certificate to the firm      :-

                         a) They are Central Govt  Department drawing funds from Consolidated Fund of  India.

                  b) The expenditure involved for the purchase has received the sanction of the  competent authority

.                  c)  The funds are available under the proper head in the sanctioned budget allotment   for the year……..

                       They have been fully authorised by the department concerned to sign the supply order and incur the liability in respect of the stores being ordered.    

                  You are, therefore, informed that the certificate as per above requirement may be  obtained  from the DDO before entertaining any supply order
